For the cocktail hour, we provide a fine selection of jazz, swing, soundtracks, soul & rhythm'n'blues ...

However, if your favorite tune is not included in the list, we can learn it for you! The band will learn up to 2 special songs for your event, depending on complexity, but please allow 60 days advance notice, so that we can arrange rehearsals to prepare your songs properly.

WHAT TIME DOES THE BAND ARRIVE FOR OUR WEDDING OR FUNCTION?
We'll be arriving about 1 hour thirty prior to the event. This gives us plenty of time to set up equipment, go over details with the event manager, and get dressed for the performance.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO HIRE SOUL MAMA?
Various considerations such as the day of the event, length of time played, distance etc., are all factors when pricing an event. Drop us a line to discuss all the particular details and we will send you a quote.
SHALL WE PROVIDE FOOD FOR THE BAND?
It's generally accepted that the client provides the band with a meal prior to the gig. The caterer will probably be more than familiar with the situation and often offer a cheaper solution for suppliers meals. After all, the band doesn't expect a fine cut of medium-rare fillet steak, just a meal to keep them going.
From the bands point of view, they'll often depart for the gig at around 3pm and find themselves on the road all day. An hour or so waiting for the speeches to finish, another hour setting up and before you know it, it's 8pm and we've got a very hungry group of musicians. The last thing a band wants at this point is to leave the venue in search of food.
IPlease remember that a well-fed musician is a happy musician and a happy musician is exactly what you want for a great party!
CAN WE HAVE THE BAND PERFORM OUTDOORS (eg garden, patio) AND INDOORS LATER ON?
f you would like the band to perform over the cocktail hour in the garden, and then move to another area for the cut of the cake and after dinner dance, this should be discussed in our initial quote, we'll try to find the best solution for you!
We require an outlet within 5 meters radius of the stage area, and that the circuits being used by the band are not shared with other significant electrical loads. Especially electrical cooking, heating, or major lighting equipment draws large amounts of power.
Soul Mama are not responsible for interruptions of the performance due to tripped circuit breakers!I
When playing open-air we also require a larghe patio umbrella, to protect ourselves and the equipment from direct sunlight/wind/rain
HOW DO WE RESERVE SOUL MAMA?
To make the agreement effective, an initial reservation deposit is required.
We accept all major Credit Cards, Sepa or TransferWise payments, according to your preferences.
